The Friends of Anahuac Refuge is happy to announce the 2019 Spring Photo Contest!!! Spring Migration is coming soon so take pictures at the refuge between March 3, 2019 and May 27, 2019 and submit your best photos to the Friends of Anahuac Refuge 2019 Spring Photo Contest. A “Photo of the Week” will be chosen each week, and that image will be featured on the Friends of Anahuac Refuge webpage and Facebook page. Weekly winners will be awarded a $20.00 Gift Certificate to the Refuge Nature Stores and a 1-year membership to the Friends of Anahuac Refuge. At the conclusion of the contest, the best three images will be chosen from the 12 “Photo of the Week” winners. From those, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners for the contest will be chosen.

1st Place - a pair of Vortex Crossfire 10x50 binoculars (Approx. $170.00 value)

2nd Place - a pair of Vortex Crossfire 8x42 binoculars (Approx. $130.00 value)

3rd Place - a photography bean bag from (Approx. $80.00 value)

The photos may be of wildlife, plants, macro, landscape or any activity on the refuge. Each person can submit up to 3 images per week during the contest and win up to 2 of the 12 weekly contests.
